National Championship Event – Plan The Trip

Who is competing?
Riders who during the regular show season acquired the top ten (10) highest point total in their individual category, or are in the top 20% of all those in their individual category. (Whichever method is a greater number of qualifiers)

Who is invited?
ALL family and friends who are supporting our National qualifiers as well as anyone who is interested in finding out more about YEDA.  

Will there be concessions?
Concessions will be available for purchase on-site.

Is there camping/camping hookups?

For YEDA Parents: Collegiate Equestrian Consulting

Coach Mary Meneely will be hosting an informational meeting for all YEDA parents to learn more about the collegiate equestrian opportunities and how to navigate the recruitingg and cellege decision process. This will take place at YEDA Nationals, Friday, June 2 at 7:30 PM while riders are at the Prom.

YEDA Reschedules Nationals: June 22-25, 2020

The Youth Equestrian Development Association (YEDA) has been notified by the Roane State University has decided to no longer allow us to host our National Championship Event. But there is good news, YEDA has secured a new location to have our National Championship show. It will now be held at the  Tri State Exhibition Center (click link) in Cleveland, TN. It looks like a beautiful facility that is willing to work with us and is excited to host us. The other big change is the dates are also changing, this part is what we are disappointed about but we are trying to make lemonade out of lemons. The new dates for the show are  going to be Sunday, June 21 through Thursday, June 25th.
Sunday,  June 21 – Move In & Horse Warm up & Royalty Competition

Monday, June 22 – State Invitational Classes

Tuesday, June 23 – Individual Classes

Wednesday, June 24 – Individual Classes and Team Classes

Thursday, June 25 – Team Classes

We very much understand that this may come as a shock, and know that for some this change of dates could be a challenge for some families because it is during the week. I would like to encourage you to work together with your families, riders, and teams to try to get our riders there. If these date changes make it so that a rider can no longer attend please contact your coach, and they should contact a YEDA official.

The area seems like a wonderful location with ample hotels and restaurants. We are working on getting some good deals at some of the local hotels with group rates and should have that information soon.

Camping spots, this new location has more hookups than the previous location so we can still take camping reservations. Please mail a camping reservation form with payment, cost is still $25 a night. Camping Reservation
