Points are awarded based on placement and number of riders in the class. A Rider placing 1st will be awarded 1 point for each rider in the class with a maximum of 6 points. A rider placing 2nd will be awarded 1 point for each rider in the class, minus 1 with a maximum of 5 points. A rider placing 3rd will be awarded 1 point for each rider in the class, minus 2 with a maximum of 4 points. For example, in a class of 6 riders, 1st place is awarded 6 points, 2nd place is awarded 5 points, 3rd place is awarded 4 points and so on. The highest point earning rider in a division for each team will have their points tallied for the overall team standing of each show. The coach does not need to choose one rider per division as their point rider. The teams’ highest placing rider in each division will automatically become the teams’ point rider.
